【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardappliestonewdesignsoflocomotivesandpassengercarryingrollingstockasdefinedincategoriesC-ItoC-IVofClause4takingintoconsiderationtherecommendationsgiveninAnnexEontheapplicationofthestandard(migrationrule).Itisintendedtoprotectvehicleoccupants,throughthepreservationofstructuralintegrity,anddoesnotextendtootherrailwayemployeesandcustomerswhoarenotinvehicles,ortothirdparties.ThespecifiedrequirementsrelatetothetechnicalandoperationalconditionsofusethatprevailintheCENmembercountries.Thedesignofnewvehiclesforuseinpassengertrainsisbasedonoperationswithcompatiblerollingstockthatalsomeetthisstandard.Itisrecognisedthatoperationalrequirementswillrequirenewcrashworthyandexistingnon-crashworthyvehiclestoexistinthesametrainunitbutsuchcombinationsofvehiclesarenotrequiredtocomplywiththisEuropeanStandard.
