【摘要】:Theserequirementscoverelectricalequipmentforcontrolofair-conditioning,heating,cooking,refrigeration,andhumidity,rated600voltsorless,tobeusedinordinarylocationsinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,NFPA70.Theserequirementscovergeneral-useequipmentforfield-installationandcontrolsintendedtobefactoryinstalledonorincertainappliancesassafety,limiting,oroperatingcontrols.Thesecontrolsresponddirectlyorindirectlytochangesintemperature,humidity,orpressuretoeffectcontrolofequipmentorapplianceoperation.Theserequirementsdonotcoverlow-voltagethermostats,dampercontrolsorsimilardevicesintendedforconnectiononlytoalow-voltagecircuitoflimitedpowersuppliedbyaprimarybatteryorbyaClass2transformer.Anassemblyconsistingofaline-voltagetransformerwithalow-voltagesecondaryincorporatedasanintegralpartofacontrol,suchasathermostatoradampercontrol,isconsideredtobewithinthescopeoftheserequirements.See6.1.Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisstandard,andthatinvolvesariskoffireorofelectricshockorinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementstomaintainthelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisstandard.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisstandarddoesnotcomplywiththisstandard.Revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisstandard.
