【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddefinesmethodsthatallowentryofcharactersbelongingtotherepertoireofsingleandmulti-octetcodingstandardssuchasISO/DEC10646inacodeindependentmannerusingakeyboardorotherinput/outputdevices.Itisalsoexpectedthatforimplementationsofdifferentcodingschemesofcharactersets,thismethodwillbeusable,providedthatthetargetcharactersetshaverepertoiresthataresubsetsoftheuniversalmultiple-octetcodedcharacterset(ISO/IEC10646)orofanyotherstandardcharacterset.Morespecifically,thisInternationalStandarddefinesfourmethods,whichcanbeimplementedindifferentscenariosaccordingtotheconformanceclause:-abasicmethodforenteringacharacterwhichinvolvesusingitsbitrepresentation(canonicalor-abbreviatedform)inISO/IEC10646asacatalognumber,whicheverunderlyingcodeisusedforthatcharacter;-amethodforenteringstandardkeyboardsymbolsrepresentingthefunctionsusedonthekeyboard;thismethodisintendedforenteringcharacterscorrespondingtothevisualrepresentationofthekeyboardfunctionsymbols(accordingtoISO/DEC9995-7symbolsandISO/IEC10646characters),withthehelpofthefunctionkeysthemselves;-ascreen-selectionentrymethodforselectingacharacterdisplayedonascreenfordataentry;-afeedbackmethodthatallowsexactidentificationofcharactersshownonascreen,forsubsequentdataentry;ThisInternationalStandardisintendedtocomplementexistingnationalkeyboardlayoutsorexistinginputmethodsoptimizedfornationaluse.HenceitdoesnotreplaceanynationalkeyboardentryrequirementbutisratheratooltoeaseentryofthecompletecharacterrepertoireofISO/IEC10646withthehelpofalreadyexistingnationalkeyboards.
